The superstar will make his entry in one of TV’s longest running shows

From being an iconic crime fighting show on television, CID is fast becoming the place to go for all our big screen stars who are playing cops in their upcoming movies. After Aamir Khan shot for two special episodes where he uncovered a mystery along with ACP Pradyuman, it is Salman Khan’s turn now to promote Dabanng 2.

The superstar will be entering CID as Inspector Chulbul Pandey. Incidentally, this will be Salman’s second appearance on the show. He had earlier done a similar special appearance two years back while promoting his film Wanted. Wonder what antics will Sallu be up to this time!

Talaash Advance Bookings Update

Talaash’s Advance Bookings Opened today everywhere. The response is fantastic. The film is set for a solid opening at the mulitplexes.

The Single Screens aren’t so strong, but the name Aamir Khan will give the film boost. Around 30-40% seats are already booked at the prime multiplexes in Mumbai and Delhi. Reports from other theaters is good as well.

If All Goes Well than Talaash will have a bumper first day at the box office. Although, the film is not a wide release at the Single Screens, but Aamir Khan movies have potential to work in the second and third weeks as well which is a not so common these days.

Aamir Khan will have his first major release after a Gap of 2 Years and 10 months.

Both Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son Of Sardar continued their good run at the domestic box office. In 10 days (first week extended week) the combined total of both the Diwali releases was 181.66 crore.

Shahrukh Khan denies patch-up with Salman Khan

Superstar Shahrukh Khan Tuesday denied the highly-publicised news of his patch-up with Salman Khan at the premiere of “Jab Tak Hain Jaan”.

“This is a very old question. It’s boring,” Shah Rukh Khan told reporters during the launch of KidZania store RCity mall, Ghatkopar.

When asked about Amitabh Bachchan’s tweet about their patch-up, he said: “If Amitji has tweeted it then you all ask him. There is no patch up. I read about in newspapers. Don’t believe it.”

Son Of Sardaar Collects 59 Crore Nett Over Its Extended Weekend

Son Of Sardaar has collected 59 crore nett approx over its extended six day weekend. The collections on Sunday were similar to Saturday as Maharashtra was shut at many places due to the funeral of Shiv Sena leader Balasaheb Thackeray. The film collected around 8.50 crore nett on Sunday.

Even in other circuits there was not the normal growth associated with a Sunday as the film had released on Tuesday. Still the film got closest to Jab Tak Hai Jaan on Sunday as that film had higher collections in the Maharashtra area so lost more than Son Of Sardaar. The film collected 34 core nett in the first three days and 25 crore nett in the next three days and suffered to the tune of 2.50 crore in Maharashtra.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son Of Sardaar continued to well in most areas and Saturday saw growth from Friday at many places. The all India collections of the film look in the same range as Friday as many areas in  Maharashtra area were shut in the evening due to the death of Balasaheb Thackerey.

If things were normal the films would have managed decent 10% plus growth on an all India basis but now collections look like coming in the same range or even lower depending on the affect in Maharashtra. Aamir Khan to feature in ‘C.I.D.'

Bollywood star Aamir Khan will be seen in two episodes of TV crime thriller “C.I.D”.

He will be on the Sony TV show to promote his movie “Talaash”, a suspense thriller, releasing Nov 30.

“So Aamir Khan will be on ‘C.I.D.’ next week. Full on in both the episodes,” Sneha Rajani, senior executive vice president and business head, Sony, shared on Twitter.

No Hollywood, no politics for superstar Shahrukh Khan

Many Bollywood actors are making their way into Hollywood as well as politics but superstar Shah Rukh Khan says he is happy acting in Indian movies and doesn’t consider himself fit to be a part of politics.

“First of all, I have not been offered any Hollywood movie. I know a lot of people working in the production of Hollywood films. There are a lot of studios here, so we keep meeting the studio heads also. But I don’t feel I have the USP of being in Hollywood,” Shah Rukh told reporters here Friday.

The actor was here to speak at the HT Leadership Summit with his “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” co-star Katrina Kaif.

Shah Rukh, who has completed two decades in Hindi film industry, feels Hollywood has enough actors of his age and that he wants to dedicate his future to Bollywood only.

“I don’t know kung fu. I’m not the greatest dancer. I’m not like a cool guy. I think they (Hollywood) have enough actors of my age. I desire to work in Indian films and be a part of Indian films in any which way I can. I dedicate my coming years to Indian cinema only,” he said.

Asked if he plans to be a politician in future, Shah Rukh said: “I have been asked this question for the past many years. I know many politicians and have huge amount of respect for them. I talk a lot to them too, but politics is not my job profile.”

“My job is to make films and entertain people through this medium. I just want that people, who are fed up of continuous ups and downs of the political world, breathe a sigh of relief and get entertained through my films,” he added.

However, if he gets the chance to play a politician on-screen, Shah Rukh says he will love to play Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad. – IANS

The film held up better at multiplexes of all the big cities as compared to Son of Sardaar. Gujarat is a holiday so that circuit is holding up best. The best business is in Mumbai circuit where the film has grossed over 21.50 crore and Mysore where it has crossed 3.50 crore nett.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan should show a healthy jump on Saturday as its stronger circuits like Mysore tend to show huge jumps on Saturday though being a Tuesday release could curtail the jump. The film at the moment is on course to hit a century over its extended ten day first week.
